My Story:
Piano lessons started for me in the summer after I completed the first grade. In addition to piano, I also play keyboards, organ, guitar, bass guitar, and a variety of percussion instruments.
As a graduate of Georgia College (now Georgia College and State University) I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in English. My post-graduate degree is from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. I received the Master of Church Music degree with a Concentration in Piano.
Since graduation from seminary, I have served as a full-time associate pastor and music minister at four churches. I’ve also served as in an interim or part-time basis at two others. While serving my first full-time church, I was ordained to the gospel ministry.
In those churches, I led congregational singing, as well as directing adult, youth, and children’s choirs. I’ve led worship in traditional, multi-generational, and contemporary services.
It is my desire that individuals come into a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. I want these individuals to worship God in spirit and in truth. It is my hope that we hold onto the best of our heritage of hymns and worship, while also enjoying the best of fresh creativity inspired by God’s Spirit.
